About L.E.A.P.

L.E.A.P. (Listen • Educate • Achieve • Prosper) was founded on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and build a better future—regardless of their circumstances.

What began as a grassroots effort, and was formally established in 2006 through nonprofit registration in Lomé, Togo, during a period of living and working in the region, has grown into a structured initiative focused on education, family support, community outreach, and long-term development.

Since expanding and registering in the United States in 2013, L.E.A.P. continues to build on this foundation with a commitment to breaking cycles of poverty and vulnerability by addressing both immediate needs and the root causes that prevent children and families from thriving.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide children and families with access to education, resources, and support systems that empower them to achieve stability, independence, and long-term success.

What We Do:

L.E.A.P. currently supports children and families through direct assistance and partnerships with local schools, training programs, healthcare providers, and community organizations.

Our work focuses on:

    •    Expanding access to education and vocational training

    •    Supporting families and caregivers

    •    Providing community-based outreach and essential resources

    •    Assisting vulnerable children in high-risk situations

Through this approach, we are able to make an immediate impact while building toward long-term solutions.

Our Vision:

L.E.A.P. is working toward the development of a fully integrated campus that will bring education, housing, healthcare, and community support services together in one place.

This vision is centered on creating a safe, structured, and empowering environment where children and families can grow, heal, and reach their full potential.

Our Approach:

We believe in taking action now while building for the future.

By working within communities and alongside local partners, we are able to respond to urgent needs today while laying the foundation for sustainable, long-term impact.

Looking Ahead:

As L.E.A.P. continues to grow, we remain committed to expanding our reach, strengthening our programs, and creating opportunities for more children and families to succeed.

Every step forward is guided by compassion, accountability, and a deep commitment to lasting change.
