About The Founder

L.E.A.P. (Listen • Educate • Achieve • Prosper) was founded by Essinam Nanevi-Macho, whose lifelong commitment to education and community support began long before the organization was formally established.

With deep personal ties to West Africa and a strong belief in the transformative power of education, she has dedicated herself to supporting children and families facing poverty, limited access to education, and vulnerable living conditions.

A Journey Rooted in Purpose:

The vision for L.E.A.P. began as a direct response to the needs she witnessed within communities—children unable to attend school, families struggling to provide basic necessities, and young people lacking access to opportunities that could change the course of their lives.

Rather than waiting for the perfect conditions to begin, she took action—supporting school fees, connecting families to resources, and building relationships within the community. What started as individual acts of support has grown into a structured and expanding nonprofit organization.

Building with Intention:

Under her leadership, L.E.A.P. has developed a model focused on both immediate impact and long-term sustainability.

Today, the organization supports over 100 children and families through education, vocational training, healthcare access, and community outreach—primarily through partnerships with local schools and service providers.

At the same time, she is actively working toward establishing a fully integrated L.E.A.P. campus that will bring together education, housing, healthcare, and family support services in one place.

A Commitment to Transparency and Growth:

A core principle behind L.E.A.P. is honesty in both mission and execution. Every step forward is intentional—meeting needs today while building a stronger foundation for the future.

This approach reflects her commitment to creating meaningful, sustainable change rather than temporary solutions.

Looking Ahead:

The long-term vision for L.E.A.P. is to create a model that not only supports children and families, but also strengthens entire communities.

Through continued growth, partnerships, and community engagement, she remains committed to expanding access to opportunity and creating environments where children can thrive, families can stabilize, and futures can be transformed.

L.E.A.P. was built on the belief that lasting change begins with action, compassion, and a commitment to never overlook those in need.
